Lancaster-based firm to merge with Paoli company

Lancaster-based RGS Associates, a prominent land planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering firm, recently announced the successful completion of its merger with Glackin Thomas Panzak (GTP) of Paoli. This strategic move represents the culmination of a two-year merger process and signifies a significant expansion of the firm’s capabilities as it extends its reach across Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware. With over 30 new projects added to the RGS Associates portfolio, the merger has also introduced new service categories, including Institutional, Private Residence, and Site Amenity offerings.

The merger between RGS Associates and GTP brings together the expertise of both firms, combining GTP’s strengths in land planning and landscape architecture with RGS Associates’ proficiency in engineering and design services. This brand unification not only enhances the firm’s capabilities but also broadens its ability to serve clients across a wider geographical region, from Harrisburg to Philadelphia and beyond.

Managing Principal of RGS Associates, Joel Snyder, expressed his excitement about the brand unification, stating, “By incorporating GTP’s resources into our operations, we are significantly boosting our capabilities and expanding our presence into new territories.” Bernard Panzak, principal of RGS and co-founder of GTP, emphasized that the merger would provide GTP clients with access to a broader range of expertise and resources, ensuring a seamless transition and continued high-quality service.

The updated RGS Associates website now features an expanded client list, an awards section, and three new project categories: Institutional, Private Residence, and Site Amenity. The Institutional category focuses on creating inspiring spaces for educational, municipal, and nonprofit settings, while the Private Residence category specializes in designing tailored outdoor environments that enhance home value and lifestyle. The Site Amenity category is dedicated to developing engaging landscapes that promote community interaction and add lasting value to properties.

Lisa Thomas, principal of RGS and founding member of GTP, expressed her enthusiasm for the future of the merged entity, stating, “While we have established a strong reputation and built lasting relationships under the GTP name, I am incredibly excited about the opportunities that lie ahead with RGS Associates. This unification allows us to honor our legacy while embracing new challenges and growth opportunities.” Chris Garrity, principal of RGS and former principal of GTP, reassured clients that they would continue to work with the same dedicated professionals they have known for years, now supported by an expanded range of expertise and resources.

In conclusion, the merger between RGS Associates and GTP represents a significant milestone for both firms, as they join forces to enhance their capabilities and expand their reach across a broader region. The brand unification not only benefits clients by providing access to a wider range of services but also ensures a seamless transition and continued commitment to excellence in land planning, landscape architecture, and civil engineering.
